My skin I have now realised is really really sensitive. Previously for my daily skincare I was trying every brand out of Boots imaginable and seeing how my skin reacted to it. Whereas, I did use mostly the brand Clearasil to make my skin clear. After a period of time, I realised Clearasil was drying out my skin massively and making it really unhappy with the amount of bad chemicals it had in it. Once again I went on the hunt for a new regime. After looking on the internet I came across a review of Liz Earle skincare...
I ordered the cheaper trial bottles which were about 50ml and came with two Muslin Cloths. The regime of using the Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser, the muslin cloth to wipe away make-up/oils, the instant boost skin tonic and then finally the repair light moisturiser changed my skin completely!!! I started to realise a massive difference my skin wasn't breaking out so much and the reduce in redness on my face was massive! Ive kept using it and havnt looked back since :) I think the main reason for it working so well also is that the company only use naturally active ingredients which is part of their tagline.
Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser
This cleanser contains Rosemary, Chamomile, Cocoa Butter and Eucalyptus Essential Oils. After removing make up with a face wipe I normally apply the cleanser all over the face with a cotton wool face pad, use the muslin cloth with warm/hot water and then remove the cleanser off of the face. This clears the face and opens the pores to lift out any dirt that could cause skin issues. This cleanser can be used for all skin types.
Instant Boost Skin Tonic
This toner contains Aloe Vera, Calendula, Cucumber, Rose-Scented Geranium and Natural-Source Vitamin E. I apply this after wiping away the cleanser. This toner has a really nice, refreshing scent which I find when using in the morning wakes you up! This toner can be used for all skin types.
Skin Repair Light Moisturiser
This moisturiser contains Borage (a herb), Avocado Oil, Echinacea, Beta-Carotene and Natural Vitamin E. Liz Earle do a variety of this product for different skin types these include; combination oily, combination normal and combination dry. I have the combination oily as ive found I have more oily areas on my face than any other. I have found this moisturiser is the only moisturiser I have ever used that I can use without my skin having a breakdown and becoming massively oily therefore I think its brill!
Deep Cleansing Mask
This face mask is the little 15ml cream bottle made by Liz Earle (See image above) which contains Green Clay, Manuka Honey, Propolis and Rose-scented Geranium. This face mask is also brilliant. It applies not going to lie, like mud and goes crusty after about 5 minutes so it does look like you've hit with a mud pie haha! But this is sooo good at clearing your pores; when I got the starter kit this mask came with it and two sponges to remove the mask. As directed on the back of the bottle you leave this on for 5-10 minutes and then remove it with warm water and the sponges. In an ideal world the bottle says to use the cleanse and polish cleanser first then this product, then the skin tonic and then the moisturiser but im guessing this is not for every day morning and evening routine.
I now love these products and have realised that natural ingredient skincare is the way forward!
Hope this review has helped! :)
